One Pan Lasagna

This is such a great alternative to a classic lasagna without the extra work. To keep healthier and simpler, I don’t make a béchamel only a bolognese sauce and top with lasagna sheets and mozzarella! I usually cook my sauce for a couple of hours the day before. It gives it more flavours!

Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince
  • 6 lasagna sheets, I used fresh pasta
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1tbsp tomato purée
  • 2 tin of tomatoes
  • 1/2 tin of water if you cook the sauce for a couple of hours
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves chopped
  • Mozzarella

Instructions

In a large cast iron pan, heat up with 1 tbsp of olive oil, sauté the onions for a few minutes, add the mince and cook until golden brown. Add the garlic, the tomato purée, the tin of tomatoes, basil, season well and simmer slowly for 30 mins minimum.

Top with the pasta sheets and cook with the lid on for 25-30 mins until the pasta is cooked. If you are using dried pasta sheets you might need to add an extra 10 minutes of cooking time. I sometimes use a little of bit of water half way if the pasta is too dry. Then Add the mozzarella and grill in the oven for 5 mins
