Chicken in white wine
This is such a hearty dish with lovely flavours. The chicken slowly cooked in white wine with garlic and fresh thyme! I serve mine with steamed vegetables and rice.
Ingredients
- Serves 4
- 8 chicken thighs
- 3 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 300ml white wine
- 200ml chicken stock
- 300g button mushrooms
- 200g smoked lardons
- 1 tbsp flour
- A few sprigs of thyme
Instructions
Sauté the shallots until golden, add the lardons and cook for a few minutes, add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes. Add the flour, mix all together, add the wine, garlic, thyme, stock and chicken. Season and bake in the oven (180c) for 1 hr.
