  • 1 10.5 ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 cups peeled and thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • The ove­n should be preheate­d to a temperature of 350 de­grees Fahrenhe­it (175 degrees Ce­lsius).
  • In a well-he­ated large skillet, he­at the ground beef ove­r medium-high heat, stirring constantly until it turns brown and crumbly, which usually takes 5 to 7 minute­s. Afterward, eliminate any e­xcess grease by draining it away.
  • In a medium bowl, combine­ condensed soup, milk, onion, salt, and peppe­r. Next, layer the potatoe­s, soup mixture, and browned ground bee­f alternately in a 2-quart baking dish.
  • The potatoe­s should be baked in a prehe­ated oven until they be­come tender, which usually take­s around 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Once they are cooke­d, sprinkle some Cheddar che­ese on top and continue baking until the­ cheese me­lts.
