Gajar Ka Halwa
Easiest, quickest and yummiest halwa which you can make, do try it and you will love it
INGREDIENTS
- 700 gms Carrots shredded(or take 2 precut packs)
- 4 cups milk
- 4 tbsp thick cream
- 1 cup Ghee
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup ricotta cheese (or khoya)
- 5-6 Cardamom pods crushed or powdered
- Nuts for garnish.
INSTRUCTIONS
In a pot, put carrots with milk and let them boil and cook,till they turn soft and mashable,(takes around 30-40 mins) then add cream. Use hand blender to mash the carrots into halwa consistency.(great jugaar)
Now add sugar along with ghee, and cardamoms and let it cook for 7-8 mins. Now add ricotta cheese and keep cooking at medium flame till the ghee comes out at the corners and the carrots get a deeper red color. And thatsss it .
